We don't have a pass to the Zoo and I don't think we're going to get one soon, so I thought I would take advantage of the Fee Entrance on Founders Day. I sent an email inviting a few friends, some with kids, some without. Only one friend and her two year-old son joined us. Now I know why the others chose not to come...the Zoo is incredibly CROWDED on the first Monday in October!
Since my wrist hasn't completely healed (I strained it putting a highchair away one-handed at a restaurant a couple of weeks ago) I decided to put Zander in the Quinny instead of wear him. It was easier for me, though I don't think it was much fun for him. The Zoo isn't really set up for kids in strollers. There were very few exhibits where he could see the animals. Not that he seemed all that interested in the ones he could see! :)
At the top is a picture of Z (on the right) and his friend, Charlie, fast asleep at the end of their day at the Zoo.
